During the past ten years at Granada Television (eight of which I spent in the Factuals Dept) I've worked on a wide range of programming for a number of broadcasters both in the UK and internationally.
My showreels page hosts six short videos highlighting the films I've directed and my credits page gives a full list of the shows I've worked on over the last decade.
In the UK I've produced films for major broadcasters such as ITV1, C4, C5 and SKY ONE and National Geographic, The Discovery Channel and The History Channel internationally.
This has seen me travel to, and direct crews, in countries all over the world including USA, Australia, Israel, Indonesia, East Timor, France, Holland, Bahamas and the UK
I have a wealth of experience directing digbeta and HD crews, worked on a number of programmes which have required me to self shoot on DV camera and have personally overseen the edit and full post production process on all films I have directed.
My most recent film is 'Naked Science: First to Cross the Ocean' for National Geographic. To be broadcast sometime in late 2008, the film tells the story of the groundbreaking ocean crossing to first colonise Australia 50'000 years ago.
I've been very fortunate to take on films from an extremely diverse list of genres including serious science, history and engineering projects, archive based 'clip' shows, travelogues, popular science entertainment, wildlife films, weather documentaries, observational doc series and political and sporting biography.
Such a variety of programming has seen me film with and interview science, history and engineering experts and professors, the great British public, celebrity figures such as James May, Eddie Irvine, Des Lynam, Rolf Harris,
Janet Street-Porter, Dan Wright, Steve Marsh, Jimmy Hill and many other high profile personalities from the world of football, politics and TV soaps.
